KBrothers is a third-generation family jewelry business which began in Istanbul, Turkey in the early 1800’s. The family has lived in several countries including Syria, Greece, France, and landed in Lebanon around 1930. All along the way honing their skills and gaining the knowledge of each region’s styles and techniques. In 1984, the family moved to the United States with dreams of continuing the family business in southern California. That dream came true in 1989 when the youngest sons began manufacturing jewelry designs in Los Angeles. The brothers have continued to hone their skills working with top wholesalers with much of their work being sold at Tiffany & Co., Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and others.
In 2013 the brothers won first prize at The Couture Show in Las Vegas with a three-piece snake ring that they worked on for Colette Jewelry.
Haig Khatchikian pursued the art of stone setting and specializes in micropave, channel, bezel, and center stones including sensitive stones such as emerald, tourmaline, and fluorite.
Varouj Khatchikian, a master artisan, became his father’s apprentice at the age of 10. With a desire to learn different techniques from master goldsmiths around the world. He pursued his passion and combined all that he learned which enabled him to become one of the most sought-after jewelers in the Los Angeles area. He used to gaze over jewelry magazines to get inspiration for his pieces, but in 2011 he attended the Burning Man Festival and was enlightened. After his unbelievable experience at the festival, he started visualizing pieces in his head throughout the day without magazines. Ideas started flowing within him and he finally became the true artisan he is.
With the brother’s inventiveness, they were able to build a strong team of professionals. In-house we have a designer, jeweler, polisher, diamond setter, and wax designer/carver.
