Carats and Karats

Learn about the difference between Carat and Karat. They are both measurement terms in the jewelry world.

Carat (Ct) is the weight of diamonds and stones. Carat is 1/5 of a gram or 200mg. A carat is divided into 100 points.

Karat (K) is the measurement of the purity of a metal. Karat is especially used in the measurement of Gold and is measured on a scale 1-24.
